-Contrast is putting opposite elements together with multiple textures to give it excitement and drama.

This shows contrast because opposite colors are shown and it gives it a unique picture.

-Emphasis is when a piece of art work or design has an object that is mainly focused on it. It turns down the back to bring the main focus point out.

This is an example of emphasis because the main red umbrella is brought out by making the wrest all black.
